EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — It's hard to believe May is already upon us, which means Mother's Day is fast approaching.
Here's a look at the fun and rewarding ways to celebrate the Sunday holiday across Southern California.
Art fair
Located at 1600 Ivar Ave., the Hollywood Farmers' Market features 150 vendors and is open every Sunday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Visitors can reserve a free ticket to the market's upcoming holiday art fair here.

- Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge
- South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula
- The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino

Flea market
The Melrose Trading Post is held at Fairfax High School every Sunday — including this year's Mother's Day — from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. In addition to a wide variety of clothing and accessories for sale, the flea market also hosts food trucks and live music. Click here to purchase tickets.
